Microsillon

Slow any song down without changing its pitch, mark the hard passages, and drill them. Built for transcribing solos and learning by ear.

Microsillon is in beta: it is being tested ahead of its release on the App Store.

What it does

Plays songs from an Apple Music subscription or from local files, anywhere from quarter speed up to normal speed, without the pitch drifting. A zoomable timeline shows where you are in the take.

Named bookmarks mark where phrases start, so you can jump straight back to the beginning of a passage and drill it instead of hunting for it every time. A footswitch or MIDI controller can drive it hands-free, which matters when both hands are holding a guitar. Local files can also be transposed.

Songs arrive either through the in-app library picker or straight from the Apple Music share sheet.
